November is a Busy Month

by Brandon

nablopomo.gifIn case you were not previously aware November is quite a packed month. There is NaBloPoMo and NaNoWriMo as well. For those of you who don’t know what they are that’s Nation Blog Posting Month, in which you post once per day on your blog for the entire month of November and Nation Novel Writing Month, in which you attempt to write a complete novel in one month. If you are participating you may need the help of friends.

That all having been stated I’d now like to proceed to what exactly that means for this blog. I want to participate, in fact, I plan to. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll quite have the drive to do it, which is where making a post on this blog so I can be publicly mocked comes in. I’m going to combine the two a little bit. Though I don’t make any promises about a full novel I will be writing a month long fiction piece. What form that will take, whether it be one long story or a collection of shorter ones, remains to be seen by both you and I, but I’ll be doing it nonetheless.

Of course, being that I am writing an MMOG blog it is probably important that it actually be on topic. That’s where the next part comes in. The theme of the fiction piece(s) I’ll be writing will be based off the game I am currently involved in, Tabula Rasa. I’ll be posting the first “chapter” (and I use that term very loosely as I will simply call each of my posts a “chapter”) tomorrow.

If you feel like commenting I’d be glad to hear it, whether you like the writing or not. I daresay I encourage commenting because there could be something in it for you fine folk who are reading…but perhaps that is an announcement for a little bit later in the month, eh?
