They tell me it’s called “blogging”…
Well, here I am, writing the first post on this blog. I’ve been trying to decide what to say (and am still trying, thus the rambling here). There’s been a lot of ideas that popped into my head, say a little something about myself, get right into news about MMOs, and several others but I didn’t particularly like any of them, so I’m going to do somehing a bit different.
I play a lot of games, or, perhaps more accurately, I spend a lot of time playing a handful of games. I have accounts with several MMOs, Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villians, World of Warcraft and several others, and, in different ways, I enjoy each of them. The big problem for me has always been that I am a primarily PvE gamer. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy PvPing occasionally but I just can’t seem to get into doing it all the time as some people do. This is a problem, mainly because it means that, when it comes to talking about anything related to PvP gaming (and in an MMO blog, undoubtedly there will be talk of that) I am at a disadvantage.
It’s important that I offer a balanced viewpoint on all aspects of MMO gaming, so, if you think I am dead wrong on something, tell me. You may not change my mind on the matter but at least I’ll have another viewpoint to look at.
Maybe it’s a bit atypical to start off by mentioning the flaws I have when it comes to writing about this topic, but I’m not looking to fool anyone. MMOs are too huge to realistically put focus on everything evenly, so I chose my dominant play style and stuck with it.
Anyway, let’s wrap it up with some of my gaming info:
World of Warcraft Server - Gilneas :: Character - Talren, 60 NE Druid (and many others, but we’ll go with that one).
Guild Wars (Prophecies) :: Character - Jaden Calceres
City of Heroes Server - Infinity :: Character - Sychie
We’ll call it on those three for now.
