Dungeon Runners Update: Chunk #1

by

dr_250.jpgFriday evening I came home to find a message sitting in my inbox about Dungeon Runners first major update, Chunk 1. There are some great new features added, of particular importance to me was the announcement that the movement feature had been changed so it wasn’t “laggy” anymore. I have yet to load it up but I will be doing so tonight when I get home. That was a major source of annoyance to me before. Though definitely a needed change they also added some other great stuff.

There is now a new dungeon available to level 75+ players and a brand new PvP world to head into. On top of that they also added multiple characters per account (you can have 3 now.) While all these changes may seem as if they should be already available remember, this game is free (or very cheap.) Not free like the typical Korean grinder free, but free with a certain charm that will keep you playing, if not all the time, at least once in a while.

Like everything about the game this newsletter reeks of the ridiculous and asinine…and that’s half the fun. This is a game that knows it is never going to satisfy any hardcore group or appeal to anyone as a primary MMO so it doesn’t try to. It has a niche all its own, those who want to waste time and have a good laugh while messing around, possibly when the server for whatever other game you are playing is down, or when you just don’t feel like loading up your “normal” game.

So, I’ll be checking things out tonight and who knows, if I like what I see maybe I’ll throw five bucks there way so I can where some of the good loot.
